Why is it sooo difficult
…to shut off my brain when I want to go to sleep. Laying there for hours is the worst feeling in the world cuz then I get to thinking about things that I really don’t want to be thinking about and then I get all anxious and nervous. It's funny...
How you can be so numb for a while and all of a sudden you get this fresh wave of pain. And it just sits there in your chest ebbing back and forth between your heart and your lungs so that one moment you’re aching and the next you’re suffocating from the weight of the hurt.
…And all you can do is wait to become numb again.
